Who is behind X-Friend
Two brothers from Germany who build X-Friend, an AI companion app for adults.
X-Friend is an 18+ AI companion app from a German company. You create your own AI girlfriend or boyfriend, then text, call and video call them. The app is built by two brothers from Germany: we write the code, answer support ourselves and read the feedback that comes in through the app.
Why we build it
Most AI companion apps feel either like a chatbot with a picture or like a catalogue of characters. We wanted the opposite: one person who is yours, who you shaped yourself, and who remembers.
We work on X-Friend every day and ship updates regularly. Many features, from games to video calls, started as a wish in the feedback.
What we stand for
- Adults only (18+). Example characters on this website are at least 21.
- Fiction only: no real people, no celebrities.
- Your chats are not sold, not used for advertising and not used to train AI models.
- You can export your data and delete your account in the app.
- Clear prices: no hidden trial, cancel any time.
Where your data is
Data is stored with our hosting provider in London, United Kingdom. Connections and stored data are encrypted, but chats are not end-to-end encrypted: the AI has to read a message to answer it. Details are in the privacy policy.
Contact
For support and account questions use the support page or the feedback button in the app. For everything else, including press, write to contact@x-friend.app.
